Review Citizens Advice Quiz Night

For the International Year of the Volunteer Citizens Advice Bureau North Shore (8 bureaux) made the decision to host a dinner and quiz night to celebrate the 240 wonderful volunteers who support the North Shore community.

We opted for Bowls Orewa to host our event and chose Alan Reeves from https://www.goingbananas.co.nz/to do our quiz.  What a wise and, in fact, inspired choice that was.

Alan is a master at his craft.

The quiz Alan did for us was the highlight of the evening.

Alan knows his audience and manages the event to maximise their fun and enjoyment and best of all, interaction. Alan is professional and the sound equipment is first class.

Everything about the evening was perfect and I would heartily recommend Alan Reeves Going Bananas to anyone considering an event whether it is a quiz or a party, a wedding… any event.

The Hibiscus Coast RSA has been using Alan Reeves from Going Bananas for the past four years, and I have no hesitation in writing this testimonial.

Alan has provided quiz nights, hoedowns and parties for our members, as well as members of the public.

His fortnightly quiz nights began as a very small event but has now grown to regularly attract crowds of over 100 people, which has been excellent for the club.

Alan’s quizzes are always professionally conducted. They feature stimulating and entertaining questions, and they have built up a very loyal following within the community.

Alan also runs monthly Sunday afternoon hoedowns, which have become extremely popular. People enjoy not only the great country music, but also the complimentary line dancing lessons provided by his team of teachers.

His sound equipment is always first class, and his presentation is consistently professional.

On a personal note, Alan is reliable, punctual and a true professional.

He has built a strong following in the community for his events, and his contribution to the Hibiscus Coast RSA has been appreciated.

Just a great thank you for the fantastic night you put on last night. I have been inundated with residents telling me what a great night it was. You read the room perfectly and I know you were surprised that people were asking you to turn up the volume. I am sure that is not normal for a retirement village, but we like to think we are something special here and are all young at heart. It truly was a great night In fact one of the best we have had and we have had a few great acts here. Your experience showed through and you are to be congratulated on providing a great night of entertainment. We will be booking you again later in the year  and look forward to another great night of fun.

As the manager of the Warkworth RSA I have been dealing with Alan Reeves from Going Bananas for the last two years.

They have been providing entertainment for our Hoedown's and other themed events plus conducting our fortnightly Quiz nights.

Alan has proven to be extremely reliable, professional and his events are first class.

He is an accomplished master of ceremonies, an excellent DJ and his sound system is second or none.
